HONDURAS TRIP JANUARY 9 - 19, 2025

with Andy Gaertner

This January, Farmer to Farmer will once again be sending a delegation to visit the farmers and families of the Comayagua Mountain Coffee Cooperative. We will visit some of our new scholarship students. This is a great opportunity to meet the farmers and students and find out more about their lives. Every time we visit, we deepen our relationships and learn how to better support the people of the cooperative. Honduras has been feeling the impacts of climate change, with more intense storms and harsher droughts. In addition, climate shifts may have been significant factors in outbreaks of disease and insects impacting coffee crops. These farmers are on the front lines of climate change. We need to witness what is happening and report back. Group size is limited to eight. Andy Gaertner has been working with these Honduran family farmers since his Peace Corp days in the 1990s.
