  • Sam Clair, Board Member

am thrilled to be a part of this organization. This role gives purpose to my coffee consumption. Having grown up in northern Dunn County, I have been familiar with Farmer to Farmer for quite some time. I spent two years in the Peace Corps in Panama, working in the agriculture sector. During this time I worked with hat weavers and learned about the plants used for creating the weaving materials. My formal education
is a BS in horticulture and a MS in forestry. I live and work in Spooner, Wisconsin, where I am employed by Washburn County in the Forest & Parks department. I serve on various boards within my city and take part in a few recreational organizations. During
this season I am playing vintage base ball for the St. Croix Base Ball Club and am playing third trombone in the Rice Lake Municipal Band. My significant other, Kate, lives in Shoreview, MN. We visit each other often.

  • Amber Kersting, Operations Manager

Amber is the head of our coffee business. She loves traveling but gets just as excited to return to her home and family on the shores of Tainter Lake. When she isn’t nerding out about coffee, she can be found reading a book, finding treasures at thrift stores, or roaming the woods with her partner, children, and naughty hound dog.

  • Carol Nies, Bookkeeper

Carol keeps every transaction transparent to ensure the board can manage expenses lean and mean, and do what we do best — maximize giving on behalf of our supporters!

  • Erin Link, Coffee Team

As a woman farmer, I look forward to working with an organization that strongly believes in solidarity with our farmers. Finding ways to connect more and strengthen existing connections to bridge the gap between consumers and our vast and complicated food system is important to me. Not to mention, coffee is an essential part of my life. That coffee helps to fuel my passion for the goats I raise and the sustainable land and farm management I practice. And it feels good to know I am also supporting other farmers in a way that no other coffee non-profit does.
